Chevelle's new album Bright as Blasphemy coming in August 2025
🎵 Chevelle, one of my favorite rock bands, is releasing a new album, Bright As Blasphemy, in August 2025.
Chevelle has a heavy, melodic sound with deep meaning (that I usually don’t understand), but I love it. The band, which has been around since 1999, is underrated. This would be their 10th studio album, and possibly their final one.
Their first single, Rabbit Hole, is available now.

The Wild Robot, 2024 - ★★★★★
🍿 Yesterday, the family and I went to see The Wild Robot. It was an excellent movie. The girls cried (several times). I didn’t (I’m not a crier), but they kept checking to see if I was. The movie was visually stunning, fun, and fast-paced. It is a kid’s movie, but the story is very deep, and adults will love it as well. My daughter thanked me for “making” her see it.

I’ve been listening to Linkin Park’s new song The Emptiness Machine on repeat.
A perfect introduction to the bands new singer, Emily Armstrong.

🍿 Rewatched Fury Road last night with my daughter and wife. They seemed blown away by how crazy the movie is. It was fun to watch.

🍿Argylle is a fun action comedy that doesn’t take itself too seriously, which makes it easier to enjoy the over-the-top action.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, 2022- ★★
🍿 Unfortunately, the theater we happened to be at was tiny with bad sound which deteriorated the best parts of the movie, the monster fights.
If I felt, I could suffer through the dumb plot again I would see it again in a good theater. Not likely.

I checked out the demo for this game and enjoyed it more than expected. I like these slow, story-driven games. I’m not going to purchase it right now (other games to finish) but I’m adding it to my queue.

🍿 A fun movie. A few jumps scare attempts. Fairly good story. Set up for a sequel. It was worth seeing in the theaters.

🎮 I started playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder today.
I miss the 2D side-scrolling Mario. It brings back memories.
It’s a lot of fun so far. I have yet to try the multiplayer option.
